R Leigh Hoffman

Dean of Student Life & Success

Leigh Hoffman began serving as Pitt-Greensburg’s Dean of Student Life & Success on July 1, 2022.  Leigh has worked at Pitt-Greensburg since 2003, initially as the Director of Orientation (First-Year Experience) & Student Conduct.  She assumed the additional role of Assistant Dean of Student Services in 2006, which involved assisting in overseeing the departments of Student Involvement, the Academic Village, Career Services, Housing & Residence Life, Athletics, Health Services, and Counseling Services.

Leigh has a depth and breadth of knowledge in Student Affairs, having worked in higher education for almost 30 years.  Before working at Pitt-Greensburg, she served as the Assistant Dean of Student Services and Director of Residence Life and Judicial Affairs at Thiel College.  Previous to that, she worked in residence life as both a Complex Director at Stockton University in New Jersey, and a Resident Director at the University of Scranton, where she earned her M.S. in Community Counseling.  Leigh credits her engagement as a Resident Assistant at Juniata College, where she earned her B.S. in psychology, as launching her higher ed career.
