Lou Ann Sears is a member of administration and faculty. In addition to starting and running the Learning Resources Center—home of disability services, tutoring, writing help, and study help--, she teaches Collegiate Reading, Composition 1, College Success Seminar, and Business Writing. She often presents at the Teaching Academic Survival and Success (TASS Conference) and the Annual Meeting of the College Literacy and Learning Special Interest Group of the International Literacy Association. Her 36-year teaching career spans the following: 6 years in high schools, 8.5 years in community colleges, 4 summers of graduate level, and 24 years here at Pitt Greensburg. She has the following degrees: Ph.D. in Reading Education, M.A. in English, B. S. in Secondary Education English, and A. A. in General Studies.
