Professor Elizabeth Contreras teaches elementary, intermediate, and advanced language. She is interested in applied linguistics, bilingual literacy, second language acquisition and global identity and adaptability. She holds degrees from the University of Chile and Kent State University. She is the Faculty Advisor for the Spanish Club. Professor Contreras promotes the Spanish and Italian languages on campus through conversation tables, cultural activities organized by the Spanish Club and the Amici d'Italia at Pitt-Greensburg. She is the faculty contact for students interested in research opportunities or study abroad programs in Spanish-speaking countries.
