Think about the teacher or teachers who helped you see a new perspective; you can have that influence on the next generation of students.
We believe that real experience in the classroom prior to student teaching prepares you to be an effective teacher. Enter into the classroom the second semester of your freshman year, where you will practice your skills to touch the lives of Grades 7-12 students of all learning levels. The depth of content knowledge combined with the education courses and experiences allows you to be highly qualified for your subject.
As part of our award-winning SPSEA education club, you will benefit from professional development, activities with Pre K - Grade 12 students, and valuable networking opportunities.
Examine educational practices in a variety of school districts - or take your impact as an educator even further in student teaching in New Zealand or Bolivia. Plus freshmen can complete a two-week "Plus3" program earning university credits in Birmingham, England! As an educator, you have the power to change the world, one student at a time.
