Commencement Celebrations

The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg holds one annual commencement ceremony, typically on the Saturday following the end of Spring term. Information will be sent to eligible students in early February.
Commencement 2026 will be held on Saturday, May 2.

In 2024, the University held the first Winter Graduation Celebration, an informal event focusing on our Summer and Fall graduates. For 2025, that event is scheduled for Friday, December 12. Eligible students can RSVP via the link below:

Important Commencement Information
An Application for Graduation must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office during the last semester of a student’s junior year, or no later than January 31 (for expected Spring graduation). If you are a current student and want to ensure that you are on-track for graduation, please check with your academic advisor or contact the Registrar's Office.
Faculty and Staff
Every year, Faculty and Staff are invited to volunteer as a “ceremony host” and escort students and their guests to pre-assigned seats. After escorting, faculty and staff have the option to participate in the ceremony processional in full regalia and sit in the reserved faculty/staff area of the gymnasium. Details will be available at the beginning of March.
Email and Mailing Address Changes
Students should visit the Information Technology website to review the various services alumni will be able to use. If your email or mailing address has changed or will soon change, please be sure to contact Pitt Greensburg Academic Advising at 724-836-9940. Be sure to update your records with a non-Pitt email address!
