Advisory Board Campaign

I want to thank you for being a part of the Pitt-Greensburg Advisory Board’s six year record for 100% participation in the annual Partners in Excellence Campaign. Our role as members of the Board, and as business leaders in our community, is characterized not just by our physical presence but by our personal involvement with Pitt-Greensburg. Our participation in the campus activities, sharing the vision for the future of Pitt-Greensburg, and by representing the university to raise our reputation in the community is crucial. Our personal financial support demonstrates our belief in, and commitment to, the potential that the students of Pitt-Greensburg will bring to the world as a result of their education here.

The advancement of Pitt-Greensburg relies on our support and our influence on others to contribute as well. I hope that you will, once again, make an annual gift as a part of the Partners in Excellence Campaign. Your personal investment ensures that Pitt-Greensburg will continue to provide exceptional educational and experiential opportunities to our students. I know that we can extend our 100% participation another year and I hope that each of you will consider making a gift that will make you proud to be a partner of Pitt-Greensburg.

The Partners in Excellence Campaign was begun to foster the spirit of giving back. You may choose how you would like to give back through your gift – to one of the suggested funds on the enclosed pledge card or to a fund that is of personal importance to you. A listing of funds is enclosed and may also be viewed in detail at www.greensburg.pitt.edu/gift-designation. Please return the enclosed pledge card along with your check in the envelope provided. If you prefer to make your pledge and payment online via credit card you may do so at www.greensburg.pitt.edu and click on the “Give Now” link at the top right of the home page. Remember to select “Advisory Board Member” as your relationship to Pitt to ensure that your contribution is directed to the Partners in Excellence Advisory Board Campaign. Instructions for making a gift via stock transfer are available at www.greensburg.pitt.edu/about/giving/gifts-stock.

I want to take this opportunity to let you know about our fundraising initiatives. In addition to the annual Partners in Excellence campaign, the University of Pittsburgh is in the early and quiet phase of a university wide capital campaign that will extend through 2026. At the same time, Pitt-Greensburg is gearing up for its own capital campaign to support the construction of new a science building – the Smith Hall Expansion and Renovation Project. This campaign will begin as soon as the final approvals are granted and will run concurrent with the University wide capital campaign, with a much earlier completion date in order to begin construction as soon as possible. As Advisory Board members, it is upon us to be in the forefront of these campaigns, both in the timing and the significance of our gifts to each of these campaigns, in addition to our annual participation in the Partners in Excellence Campaign. We will need to be the leaders who bring others to support the campaigns. I hope that I can count on each of you to accept this role as we head into these exciting fundraising endeavors.

Should you have any questions, please contact Eleanor Flannery at 724-836-7039 or pggiving@pitt.edu.

Thank you for all that you do to advance Pitt-Greensburg. Investing in Pitt-Greensburg is an investment in the future that will be brought forth by our students. Your contribution helps to make their future, and ours, brighter.

Sincerely,

Tilstone

A. David Tilstone
Chairman, Pitt-Greensburg Advisory Board

P.S. Make your commitment today.  Our goal is to celebrate 100% participation at our Holiday meeting and reception on December 8 at 4 p.m.  This will also ensure that you can take advantage of the tax benefits for this calendar year.
