Ordering Enrollment Verifications in Person

A current student may request a verification from the Office of the Registrar with a valid photo ID. This service is for “Issued to Student” copies.

An enrollment verification provides confirmation of enrollment status, dates of attendance, and degree(s) conferred. Verifications may be used to confirm enrollment to insurers and lenders and to confirm degree(s) to employers.

At your request, the Registrar's Office will verify to a third party your enrollment status and the number of units for which you are registered. Your enrollment status will also be provided to state and federal funding agencies at their request. The Registrar's Office will respond to telephone calls that need to verify enrollment information. If you receive a form requiring verification of enrollment, bring or mail it to the Registrar’s Office.

The University of Pittsburgh has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment and degree verifications.
