Jeanne Burth, EdD, is the Director of Field Placement and Teacher Certification and is co-advisor of the SPSEA chapter on campus. She earned her doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction from West Virginia University. Her research focuses on professional development, brain research, and literacy. Dr. Burth taught elementary, special education, and gifted students and recently retired from being a principal in the Laurel Highlands School District. She has taught educational courses at Penn State University and at West Virginia University. She is the Western PA regional director of the Math and Science Partnership Grant and serves as coordinator of the NHS Autism Dance and College Day.
