Living on campus provides students with the opportunity to fully engage with the campus community while developing lasting personal relationships. Being a resident also provides excellent opportunities to become a student leader. Living on campus allows students to fully enjoy the college experience!
Each of our five residential areas provide a unique environment for students.
Applying for Housing
Current Pitt-Greensburg Students: Applications for 2017-18 housing will be available for current students at 9:00 am on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Students can access the housing application by logging into my.pitt.edu. Instructions for applying are located in the Housing Forms section below. Applications are due by Friday, March 3, 2017.
New Pitt-Greensburg Students: Applications for the 2017-18 new and transfer students were available on Monday, April 3, 2017. The deadline for completing applications is Monday, May 1, 2017. However, we will continue to accept applications even after this date. Please complete the application at your earliest convenience; this includes applications for the Academic Village and Outdoor Adventure & Community Service community. If you are a new Pitt-Greensburg student, you must first pay the $100 tuition deposit before applying. Once a new student has paid the tuitition deposit, housing application information will be mailed/emailed to the student. Instructions for applying are located in the Housing Forms section below.
Medical Accommodation Requests
Students that need specific living arrangements due to a medical condition must contact the Disability Services Office, 240 Millstein Library. To be considered for a medical accommodation, students must submit an accommodation request form and documentation from a medical provider. Accommodation requests (form and medical documentation) must be submitted by the housing deadline to receive full consideration. Requests received after the aforementioned deadline dates will only receive the accommodation if approved and if space permits.
Getting engaged in the campus community is strongly encouraged. Living on campus provides students ample opportunities to become involved with various leadership opportunities within the residence halls and other parts of campus. There are numerous opportunities that are specifically open to resident students
Academic Village: The Academic Village offers a unique living and learning experience to high achieving students with interests ranging from science and technology to arts, politics, history and foreign cultures. Interested students must complete the Academic Village Application, which can be accessed after completing the housing application while logged into their Pitt account.
Community Assistants: Our department hires 21 upper class students to be Community Assistants (CAs) in the residence halls on campus. CAs provide guidance for students living on campus, informing them of campus resources, organizing social and community service events, mediating conflicts, and enforcing policies. CA applications are typically released in February with official offers made prior to Spring Break.
OACS Living Community: The OACS residential living community provides its members with experiential learning activities in a nontraditional setting. The outdoor adventure component is designed to develop interpersonal and leadership skills; the community service component is designed to instill responsibility and engage students in the community around them. Students can join as non-resident or resident members. If interested in living in the OACS community, students should complete that portion of the housing application.
Resident Student Council (RSC): Resident students interested in advocating for improvements in the residence halls, planning activities for students, and representing their fellow resident students are encouraged to join RSC. This official student organization is open to all resident students. Representatives are needed for each of the five residence halls on campus.
Village Senate: Residents of the Academic Village have a special opportunity to get involved by joining the VIllage Senate. This group allows for the students living in the Village to have a role in Village programming and allocation of Village funds.
In addition to these opportunties, there are many other clubs and organizations that students can explore on campus.

Term and Conditions (2017-18)
These are the terms and conditions that a student agrees to upon completing their housing application.
Many of these forms are completed online. However, some forms cannot be submitted electronically. To return a paper form, you may either fax it to 724-836-7134 (ATTN: Housing Office), e-mail it to firstname.lastname@example.org, or send it via mail to: Housing & Residence Life, 150 Finoli Drive, 219 Chambers Hall, Greensburg, PA 15601.

Missing Person Info
In the event a student is missing from the residence halls, residents can designate a person for the University to contact. This person should be someone who would mostly likely know the resident's whereabouts. This person may or may not be a parent/guardian. At the beginning of each term, students will be given the opportunity to designate/update this information. Below are instructions for designating a missing person contact:
