Established in 2001, this award acknowledges excellence among alumni of Pitt-Greensburg. All candidates must have graduated from or completed courses at Pitt-Greensburg. Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their:

• outstanding level of professional achievement;

• service to the community;

• service to the University of Pittsburgh;

• other special efforts or success.

The award-winner will be asked to attend as many PGAA events as possible from September 2012 through April 2013. He/she must also be able to attend the Alumni dinner and give a speech upon accepting the award at Blue and Gold Weekend on Saturday, October 13. The Alumnus(a) of Distinction will also be asked to commencement activities at the end of April 2013. This is the highest honor given by the PGAA to an individual alumnus(a) annually, so be sure to submit your nominations as soon as possible, and no later than September 5, so that adequate consideration may be given to each candidate.
