Powers Hall

Built in 1974, Powers Hall was the first building constructed by Pitt-Greensburg at the Mt. Pleasant Road site. Prior to this time a few classrooms and faculty offices were housed in Lynch Hall, but the library, classrooms, administrative offices, faculty offices, and book store were located in Greensburg. In 1995, the library moved to its new facility, the Millstein Library, and Powers Hall was renovated adding many new classrooms, faculty offices, and an auditorium to the Pitt-Greensburg campus. Powers Hall was named in honor of Philip H. Powers a former president of West Penn Power who, in 1964, served as general chairman of a $1,500,000 fundraising campaign for the new Pitt-Greensburg campus.
