The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree prepares the highest quality nurses to care for and to develop the science underlying care for individuals, families, and communities, across populations. The University of Pittsburgh BSN program combines a strong theoretical base of biological and behavioral sciences with a foundation in the liberal arts. As a Pitt Greensburg nursing student, you will apply your classroom learning by completing more than 900 clinical hours at a various acute and community health care organizations, including Independence Health System and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center campuses.  
 
Upon completion of the University of Pittsburgh BSN program, graduates qualify to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). Graduates who pass the NCLEX become officially licensed as a Registered Nurse.
